Christian author and speaker Joni Eareckson Tada was recently released from the hospital following a 16-day stay due to a case of double pneumonia. 

Tada, who leads Joni and Friends, issued an update on social media following her release from the hospital.

“Like many of the people we serve who struggle with constant health challenges, I can say with them, “God rescued me!” After 16 days in the hospital struggling with double pneumonia, I am home, happy, healing, and resting. The hospital provided oxygen for me, but it’s only temporary,” Tada wrote on Facebook last Thursday.

A Christian author recently published a book highlighting the book of Revelation and events leading up to the return of Jesus Christ. 

Kinley, who specializes in biblical prophecy, released his latest book, “God’s Grand Finale: Wrath, Grace, and Glory in Earth’s Last Days,” encouraging fellow Christians to observe God’s nature in Revelation and end times themes.

“It does tell us about the end of time, the whole Tribulation period, heaven … the Second Coming, the Antichrist, many different things,” he told CBN News in an interview. “But, interestingly enough, most Christians don’t realize that the book of Revelation actually reveals who God is to us.”

During last week’s 2023 G3 Annual Conference, hundreds of attendees were evacuated from the venue due to a bomb threat. 

The report of the bomb threat took place last Friday prior to a screening of the film “The Essential Conference,” produced by Grace Productions, a ministry of Grace Community Church led by pastor John MacArthur.

“I was mic’d up and ready to go on to talk about the Essential Church movie, and a bomb threat came into the building. G3’s been evacuated. Interesting timing @JennaEllisEsq @ArlenysBuckelew,” Shannon Paul Halliday, the writer and director of “The Essential Church,” wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 

According to Church Leaders, security later apprehended a male suspect and turned him over to the police.

Jenna Ellis, a lawyer for MacArthur and Grace Community Church, told Church Leaders, “I’m very glad to hear the situation was managed and everyone attending is safe. I hope G3 will afford Grace Productions another opportunity to show ‘The Essential Church’ movie because every Christian needs to see this important documentary and prepare to stand firm in the future for God against tyranny.

The businessman best known for the reality program Duck Dynasty says he allowed the darkest moments of his life to be depicted in a new movie so that unchurched people would come to Christ. 

The early life of Phil and Kay Robertson is re-told in the new movie The Blind (PG-13), which opens Sept. 28 and follows the couple’s blossoming romance and subsequent challenges due to his anger and alcoholism. The movie even shows Phil booting Kay and the children from their small home. It stars Aron von Andrian and Amelia Eve in the lead roles. His life changed when he became a Christian — on the big screen and in real life. 

Phil Robertson told Christian Headlines he “never doubted” the idea of a movie, even though it depicts some of the darkest moments of his life.

NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was recently baptized in a swimming pool during the summer. 

Kelly, who played for the Buffalo Bills and led the team to four straight Super Bowls, was surrounded by a small group of people who came to see him get baptized. 

“The very best of Summer 2023,” his wife, Jill Kelly, wrote. “Jim’s t-shirt says, ‘God’s Real.’ He is! I have witnessed God at work in this man’s life for over 30 years…and I can tell you that God isn’t just REAL. He is faithful, trustworthy, kind, loving, compassionate, powerful, gracious, GOOD, merciful, forgiving…and so so much MORE.”

“[God] is immeasurably MORE than we can imagine! He is EVERYTHING!” she continued, citing three Bible verses in her post, Galatians 3:26-27, Matthew 28:19-20, and Acts 22:16.
